Reddit posting

Writes and publishes a post to our own subreddit, by the platform’s rules.

Running since Oct 4, 2026·Reddit·Risk: High

What this solves

Reddit rewards posts that read as a genuine observation or question and punishes anything that reads as marketing, which makes it one of the highest-value and highest-risk channels for a small team to show up in.

Who it’s for: Teams with their own subreddit or an existing presence in relevant communities, willing to write in a plain, non-promotional voice.

How we use it: Our newest agent, posting to our own subreddit since October 2026. It shares its browser session with the LinkedIn posting agent — one logged-in Chrome window covers both — rather than running a separate login.

How it works

What happens on every run.

  1. Reads the same shared topic calendar used by the LinkedIn agent and takes the next pending topic.
  2. Writes a title that reads like something a person would actually post, and a longer, substantive, plain-text body — no markdown formatting, no hashtags, and a list of words avoided because they read as AI-generated to this audience.
  3. Checks that the shared browser profile is logged into Reddit as well as LinkedIn.
  4. Opens the subreddit’s post composer and publishes.
  5. Marks the topic posted.

Skills and scripts

What it’s built from.

A Claude Code workflow plus a browser-automation script, sharing its Chrome profile with the LinkedIn posting agent. Not packaged for public download yet — the setup guide below describes what it does; the managed tier runs it for you today.

Setup guide

Running it yourself.

Runtime

  • An agent runner that can follow a written workflow and drive a browser — we use Claude Code.
  • Node.js, for the browser-automation tooling.

Browser setup

  • A dedicated Chrome profile kept logged into Reddit (and, if you run both, LinkedIn too) with remote debugging enabled on a fixed port.
  • This is the highest-risk of the three agents to get wrong: Reddit is sensitive to self-promotion and to anything that smells automated, so the posting pace matters more here than on LinkedIn.

Account setup

  • A Reddit account old enough and with enough karma to post without hitting new-account restrictions, with permission to post in the target subreddit.

Configuration

  • The same topic calendar as the LinkedIn agent, or a separate one if the two should run on different topics.
  • Reddit-specific voice rules: plain text only, no hashtags, a list of phrases and words to avoid, and a reminder that links in the body are fine here (unlike LinkedIn).
  • A conservative daily cap — lower than you would set for LinkedIn.

First run

  • Run it once with one topic and read the draft title and body before it posts.
  • Watch the first few live posts for early downvotes or removal, which usually means the voice still reads as promotional.

Common questions

The post got removed or heavily downvoted.

Treat this as signal, not noise: tighten the voice rules (less hook-forward, more plainly stated) and slow the posting cadence before trying again.

Reddit asked for a verification check.

Solve it yourself in the browser window once. Frequent checks are usually a sign the account is posting faster than its history supports.

Risk notice

What to watch for.

  • Highest risk of the three agents: Reddit actively moderates for self-promotion, and losing an account here means losing the subreddit presence entirely.
  • We default to a small daily cap, a conservative account, and watching early posts closely rather than letting it run unattended from day one.
